As a medically retired veteran, Travis and his family saw an uncertain future ahead. Both he and his wife were searching for their next career steps that would help support their family.
Like many veterans, Travis had difficulty finding a job in the civilian world after retiring from the military. He and his wife struggled to pay their bills and provide for their young family of five. Goodwill San Antonio’s veterans program assisted Travis in finding meaningful employment at Randolph Air Force Base as a Rewards and Recognition Associate. His wife enrolled at Goodwill’s Good Careers Academy and successfully completed the Certified Nurse’s Aide Program.
With help from Goodwill, the future for Travis and his family is more stable and secure.
“We are exactly where we want to be in life now. Goodwill helped give us back our SELF WORTH,” Travis said
Goodwill San Antonio, a United Way partner agency, works to help change lives through the power of work. Goodwill provides career training and placement assistance for employment.
