Roy Maas' Youth Alternatives Earns
Accreditation
|
|
Roy Maas' Youth Alternatives (RMYA) has received accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA), an international, independent and not-for-profit accrediting body for social services.
A long and rigorous process, accreditation is a significant achievement
that will serve as a catalyst to help RMYA build on its strengths and
achieve even better results for the children and families they serve.
RMYA has grown to meet the needs of thousands of children from our
community whose lives have been scarred by abuse, parental desertion,
family strain, or emotional turmoil, and to date has provided services to
almost 50,000 youth. To address the varying needs of children today, RMYA
provides a wide continuum of exceptional programs and services.
Obtaining COA accreditation
proves that an organization provides the highest quality of service.
The RMYA San Antonio Campus is located on West Avenue, while the long-term
residential services are located on the MeadowLand Campus in Boerne, Texas,
including a Foster Family program.
Children placed in RMYA and families who seek counseling have assurance
that best-practice methods are being used, confidentiality is well
monitored, and that risk-management strategies are in place.
Accreditation also means that RMYA effectively manages its funds and has demonstrated accountability in managing all its resources -- even more proof that United Way only invests in top-notch agencies that change lives! Congratulations to Roy Maas' Youth Alternatives for doing what matters!
