The 2008 United Way poster, entitled “A Heritage of Caring,” was painted by renowned Pleasanton artist, Lee Ricks. The watercolor painting features local landmarks --The Alamo, Mission San Jose, the Tower Life Building and the River Walk. The military is represented with The Quadrangle at Ft. Sam Houston and the Taj Mahal at Randolph AFB. The poster’s images are bridged together with the people served by United Way and its partner agencies: children, families, warriors, the elderly, homeless and disabled, each adding to the rich landscape of our City.
