Kimmelman Child Care Scholarship Initiative |
Since 1990, the scholarship has assisted over 400 families. Scholarship provides full or partial child care assistance based on the needs of the family. This program targets families headed by single parents or a couple, who have young children (age 10 years and under), who are struggling economically and who have the desire and capability of improving their situation through furthering their education, and/or on- the- job training.

Childcare Scholarship awarded each June. Applicants must apply through an approved referral agent. Please call United Way/Texas Helpline 2-1-1 for a listing of approved referral sites. Applications are accepted March 1st thru early May.
The scholarship is provided through the generosity of Temple Beth-El, Women’s Leadership Council, and United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. |
