2-1-1 Texas / United Way Help Line
 
2-1-1 Texas / United Way Help Line is a public / private partnership between Texas Health and Human Services Commission and United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County
Sometimes the most difficult problem to face is not knowing where to turn for help. At the 211 Texas / United Way Help Line, calls are answered by trained volunteers and staff with a database of community resources at their fingertips.

The 211 Texas / United Way Help Line Provides:
Information and Referral
Brief Telephone Counseling
Services are both free and confidential to those seeking help regardless of age, life-style or issue.

Type of Information Provided:
Callers may receive information on a number of topics, including:

Food
Clothing
Health care
Employment
Child care
Elder care
Utility / Rent assistance
Counseling / mental health
Adult Literacy
Drug treatment
or many other services
