United Way in the Community

For seventy years, United Way has become synonymous with caring and helping children, families and individuals. Thanks to your donation, it remains the largest and most respected private health and human service organization in Bexar County, supporting 117 high-quality programs at 65 agencies.

Changing Lives

During these difficult economic times, your donation to United Way is invested in well-managed programs that are reaching out and helping families and children with basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter and health care. Through its quality programs, United Way supports every member of the family -- from children and teens to adults and grandparents.

Prevention and Solutions

Now, United Way is engaging the community to get to the heart of problems. Here in San Antonio, United Way focuses on three critical areas - improving early care and education for children, strengthening families to become more financially stable and developing individual capacity for success.

Your Gift Goes Far

As stewards of your trust, United Way makes every effort possible to keep administrative costs at an absolute minimum. In fact, United Way's operating expenses of 7 percent is one of the lowest of any United Way in the country! That means that 93 cents of every dollar you pledge goes directly to changing lives.

LIVE UNITED

Your gift - combined with those of thousands of other contributions - makes a true impact in the lives of children and families, right here, in our community.
