United Way's Community Assistance Directory is San Antonio's most comprehensive guide to human care services. It describes 2,783 programs of 576 nonprofit, voluntary and tax-supported organizations operating in health, social welfare, education and related fields available throughout Bexar County. The directory also includes over 155 agencies available in 11 surrounding counties and a listing of out-of-state toll-free hotlines.
The 24th Edition presents the most current information on existing services compiled by United Way's Information and Referral service. This year's directory includes 50 additional agencies.
Well-organized information of this type is essential to community agencies, health professionals, labor unions, personnel managers, social service professionals, attorneys, teachers, clergy and government officials to name a few.
Published by United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, the directory is recognized as the community's authoritative resource to health and human care services. It continues a tradition that was started in 1952 with the publication of the first guide known as the Blue Book. Click here for a printable Community Assistance Directory order form. |
