Today’s companies are seeking ways to work
together with employees to help solve serious
social problems in their communities. As a result, most businesses support employee volunteer programs as a business strategy. The challenges,
however, are finding worthwhile programs in the
community where they can make a difference and
providing a strong corps of employee volunteers.
Corporate Volunteer Councils provide the
connection between social service organizations
and corporate volunteer programs. As a local
network of corporate members, CVC members
share effective practices to strengthen their
employee volunteer programs and open new
avenues for workplace volunteering to address
real community needs.
